G-Way In a Night to Remember | Taking Gospel Music to a New Level!

By Ronnie Mayanja, KAMPALA | On Saturday, 26th of February, I headed off to church after an invitation by a friend to attend a ‘Night 2 Remember’ worship experience at the Rubaga Miracle Center Cathedral. The event saw the unveiling of some of our best gospel talents in the recent times. As group after group and artist after artist took it a way with some new hip gospel music styles.

From luganda, ragga, reggae, dancehall, worship to the use of Nigerian vocal imitations it was indeed a night to remember. Back-up vocals for many of the performing groups were provided by the G-Way music group whose extremely colorful outfits and dance energy hardly left any reveller sitting down.

The event that kicked off from about 7pm went on past 10pm but it was a joyous moment as I saw Christians
dance the night away amidst speakers that were pumping 10,000 plus watts of sounds into the crowd.

As I left that evening I felt vindicated that perhaps what I had hoped to see during the Gospel Nights at Club Silk 10 years before had now become a reality though it was manifested in a totally different setting.
