The Secretary of State’s Office of Global Partnerships, in collaboration with the US Agency for International Development (USAID) and the Migration Policy Institute (MPI), organized an action-oriented Global Diaspora Forum held at the State Department.

The goal was to:
1. Recognize and celebrate the contribution of diaspora communities to America’s relationship with their countries of origin or ancestry;
2. Foster diaspora-centric partnership models;
3. Encourage intra-diaspora collaboration and learning.

The Forum took place over three days (May 17 – 19). While Forum attendance was by invitation, every effort was made to deploy social media and online tools to make the Forum accessible to as wide an audience as possible.

UNAA Times Online was invited to attend the Forum and now brings you some of highlights in pictures of the 3 day event.
