It was a musical night of live entertainment when Robert Ssimbwa a talented keyboard player who has worked with many of Uganda’s legendary musicians including Afrigo Band launched his album in Boston.

Backed up by fellow group members Julius Juuko, Spurgion Wamala [son of the late Elly Wamala], Dutch Zziwa [Drummer], Roar Bob [An American Bass player], and two female back up vocalists Lilian Nakiwala and Hawaah Nammanda from the Touch ‘N’ Soul Band. Ssimbwa put up a spectacular performance that saw his CDs auctioned by Comedian Charles Muvawala in which over $3000 dollars was raised in support of the artist’s music.

The evening also saw the band perform songs ranging from Old Time Classics, Lingala, Afro-Caribbean to some of the most popular Ugandan music tunes today.

Guest appearances included George Mbalire of the ‘Tooke’ fame and later it was Lady Chocolate a.k.a Zani who brought the house down with her dance moves and hits that included ‘Ndoowa’.
