Maurice Kirya performed live in Kampala at the Serena on September 2, 2011. The concert was a huge success that featured special guests like Valerie Kimani and Vamposs. Valerie and Maurice performed their beautiful love song “Village Girl” for the sold out show. While Maurice sang his hit song “Boda Boda”, a real boda boda was driven on stage to the delight of the crowd. The audience heard many more of Maurice’s popular songs, like “Misubbaawa”, “Wooye”, and “I Will Sing”.

Maurice has been nominated for four Afrotainment/Museke music awards. The categories are best artist, best male artist, best record, and best acoustic. The awards show will take place in New York City on September 24, 2011 and will be broadcast live on Afrotainment TV.
