Concert ~ Ghetto President Bobi Wine Thrills His Boston Fan-Base!

UNAA Denver attracted many big names in the Ugandan music industry. And one such name was Bobi Wine, real name Robert Ssentamu Kyagulanyi omubanda wa kabaka. Bobi Wine was in Boston on Saturday September 10th to entertain his Ugandan fan base. UNAA Times attended the sold out concert and now brings you some highlights.

He was born on 12th February 1982 in Mpigi District South West of Kampala District, his family baptised him Robert Kyagulanyi in the Roman Catholic Church. He went to Makerere University in Kampala. He started making music in the early 2000s.

His first singles were Akagoma, Funtula and Sunda (featuring Ziggy D), which brought Bobi Wine into the limelight.He was previously part of the group Fire Base Crew. But later formed Ghetto Republic of Uganja, which he leads as President. Some of his biggest hits include Maama Mbiire a duet with Julianna, Bada, Kiwani, and Kataala. Bobi Wine has also won the coveted PAM artist of the year award in the past.

He recently tied the knot in a glamorous wedding in Kampala that saw Kampala’s leading socialites attend and his wedding was covered Live on Bukedde TV.
