By Ronnie Mayanja — It was Kampala’s first Carnival and one that was pulled off by the newly established Kampala Capital City Authority headed by Mrs Jennifer Musisi together with KCCA partners.

The Carnival saw Kampala streets closed off on Sunday 7th October started with a procession from Kitgum House to the City Centre before the Merry making and partying that went on with LIVE artist entertainment that went on into the wee hours of the morning.

The timing couldn’t have been any better as Ugandans were given an opportunity to celebrate our Golden Jubilee anniversary in STYLE.

Artist after artist lined up to sing crowd favorite tunes to the jubilation of the revellers many of whom had gathered for extended hours awaiting the fireworks and the performances that had been promised by the orgnisers through Television adverts, Newspapers  and City Billboards.

Ugandan Diaspora News attended the Carnival and now brings you some of the highlights in pictures.
