This years fundraiser raised more than $8000 dollars in cash and pledges and saw items like smoked Cat Fish(Semutundu), Lugabire, Flags and Cakes baked by the Mother’s Union all auctioned and bought by the highest bidders. One particular bid item the Buganda Government Certificate attracted a bid price of over $1000 dollars from a kingdom loyalist amidst jubilation from the crowd.

A sumptious dinner was also served and loads of entertainment led by the Touch N’ Soul Band and it was later time for DJ Kasenge treat the audience to some musical tunes as they danced away the night . St. Peter’s Church first opened its doors for worship on Christmas Day 25th December, 2006 after a group of Ugandans in Boston led by Mr. Israel Iga approached the Rev. Dr. Alex Kasirye-Musoke and asked him to lead them in this ministry. The first service was led by the Rev. Alex Kasirye- Musoke and the Rev. Christine Nakyeyune Busuulwa who still serve this congregation as its Pastoral leader. In 2007, the Rev. Mary Tusuubira joined clergy to make the team of three priests.
