UK Based, Ugandan Designer Linda N Mirembe’s LinmiR Launches Olivia Headband Range 2013

Award-winning headwear maker, LinmiR Millinery, is launching her first commercial range of headbands; the simple but beautiful and elegant Olivia Headband. The versatile headbands that are set to become a must-have head accessory for 2013 are so uniquely handcrafted that no two LinmiR Olivia Headbands will look the same so you will forever be standing out with a stylish fashionable finish to your look.

Olivia Headbands have got a very comfortable 100% wool felt base and satin covered band that holds them in place to fit on any type of hair style. They come in various colours and patterns to complement various looks and occasions. The range will be evolving to include different designs over the year. According to the designer, it can also be made to order to customers’ color or pattern requirements.

Linda Mirembe is a Ugandan designer based in in London, UK. She founded LinmiR two years ago after taking lessons from a professional milliner. Since then she has won BEFFTA award for Designer of the Year 2012 and taken part in Young Designers Awards’ Radical Awards, showcased at a number of both UK and international fashion events including London Fashion Week’s Fashion Finest, Mahogany Bridal Show, Maryland Fashion Week, Out of Africa in Dublin, ’50 Years of Fashion’ at Ug@50,UK to celebrate 50yrs of Uganda’s independence, and dressed up Miss Uganda UK 2012 contestants.

Olivia Headbands are her first commercial, ready to wear products as she supplements on her elegant couture of hats and fascinators that are mainly made to order.
