You are putting money in her pocket. I read what she post and nothing makes sense. The type of filtration she is talkin about is not adecquate to the water problem in uganda. That filtration will not work. Please do not get scammed.

      Dear Dominic,
My name is Hasifa Kivumbi and I’m pleased for the opportunity to communicate with you. I’m glad that you have taken time to take a look at my humanitarian cause. In 2014 I will be contesting for the title of Miss Africa USA. My platform is to address Africa’s ongoing water insecurities by strengthening and creating partnerships and conversations that will facilitate dialogs which will lead to change in our policies and institutions regarding water initiatives. As a native of Uganda I have experienced firsthand the problems and setbacks that come with the lack of sufficient or clean water. Growing up in my village, the problem wasn’t the lack of water but the lack of safe drinking water. People in my village and many other parts of the world have died from water related illnesses from drinking water that is contaminated. My response to such a pandemic is THE CLEAN WATER FOR UGANDA PROJECT. This project is simple but with great impact. The objective is to raise funds to supply water filters to the selected regions of Uganda based on the needs of the population per our research. The filter that will be provided is called Sawyer’s Hollow Fiber Membrane filter. It is small, portable, easy-to-use, reliable, inexpensive, and can last a lifetime without needing to be replaced. This filter’s special membrane makes it impossible for harmful bacteria, protozoa, or cysts like E. coli, and Salmonella (which cause Cholera and Typhoid) to pass through. This filter attains the highest level of filtration available today. Please visit this link to learn more about this filter. http://www.sawyer.com/tech-water.html
To ensure the highest amount of integrity our fundraising method is on line and secure through Go Fund Me, this site allows us to publicly provide fundraising progress to all donors. We will be making a short documentary film that will allow us to share with the world just how serious the water issues are in Uganda are. All donors making a sponsorship donation, ($30 or more) will receive a package from the sponsored family that benefits from their contribution. Please visit http://www.gofundme.com and learn more about our fundraising methods. I also see that you mentioned our partners at the Uganda Water Project. We will be working together in documenting the deliveries and filter drop offs.
Thank you in advance for your efforts to learn more about THE CLEAN WATER FOR UGDNA PROJECT. If you have any questions please direct them to me or one of our team members at 180degrees2012@gmail.com In the mean time I pray that we will have your support with this very important effort at http://www.gofundme.com/cleanwaterforuganda
      Respectfully,
      Hasifa Kivumbi
