Funeral Update | Dallas Mourns The Loss of Adam Senyonga a longtime Resident of DFW – Texas
Death Announcement | Update on burial preparations for Adam Senyonga – a longtime Resident of DFW – Texas
The Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW) community has lost a long-time member and elder known to many as “Uncle Adam’. Adam Ssennyonga passed away on Friday, October 7, 2016. Uncle Adam Senyonga collapsed at the DFW international airport and was pronounced dead at Baylor Hospital in Grapevine where he was rushed by ambulance. A down-to-earth and jolly person, Adam’s home has hosted countless community parties and gatherings for all, regardless of age, nationality, race, and/or tribal affiliation.
Uncle Adam Ssennyonga is survived by his wife of nearly 30 years, Aunt Betty Senyonga and two children (one in Uganda and another in England). Messages of condolences to the bereaved family from relatives and friends continue flowing in from across the United States, Uganda, and elsewhere expressing shock at the abrupt death of this beloved member of the Dallas community.
The DFW community is spearheading a fund-raising effort to raise funds needed to help the family transport Uncle Adam’s remains to Uganda. Almost $12,000 is needed to cover funeral expenses and burial back in Uganda. A GoFundMe account has been set up (see link below) by the Adam Ssennyonga funeral preparatory committee:

The committee is delighted to inform you that about half of the funds needed (about $6000.00) have been collected so far. However, the committee has gone ahead and instructed the funeral home to prepare the body for shipment to Uganda the week of October 17, 2016, hoping that more funding will come in to cover the remaining expenses. The committee requests all those who have already pledged, to meet their pledges as soon as possible. So sad so soon, RIP It is such unusual for the body to suddenly and quickly out of hand to the point of shot down probably was an inherent medical condition that was undiagonised.
We should all watch out for circulatory conditions which are lurking in our bodies undetected. We all need to see doctors regularly. I know Adam from way back in Uganda. He was a very nice guy and, my his soul rest in peace.
I am deeply pained and words are of no help in expressing the sorrow I feel at this moment. Sincere condolences!
