Diaspora Ugandans wanted to fill new position in Kampala relocation will be compensated
A recruiting firm in the UK working with a reputable global company seeks a Finance Manager role to be based in Kampala. What we are principally looking for is:
· A qualified accountant with at least 15 years experience, five of which were in a international, senior finance management position.
· This could have been a large subsidiary of a global organisation or a large entity within Africa, preferably Uganda.
· Exposure to complex project management (ideally in a joint venture environment – knows how to engage regulators and stakeholders)
Understanding of the upstream Oil and Gas or extractive industries would be most desirable, but experience of infrastructure / power / industrial investment would also be valued;
· Has been part of a (regional) leadership team of a large multinational /multicultural organisation and is able to build and develop a Finance organization;
This is the most senior role in the finance function in country, and is leading a team of 30 expat and locals in Kampala and London.
