BOSTON SUMMER SPLASH 2012 IN PICTURES – A RADIO UGANDA BOSTON EVENT
On Saturday July 7 Ugandans in Boston gathered at the Waltham common for the summer Splash organised by Radio Uganda Boston.This was the second event in what has now become an annual affair. Summer Splash is a day when the Ugandan business community tries to expose their businesses to both American and African communities living in and around the Boston area.
An idea started by the Radio Uganda Boston crew after listening to many Ugandan’s who live and work around the US with the hope of breaking into the American market . This event was also a kind of give back to the community and featured various types of entertainment. Among the company’s that sponsored this year’s event included Moneygram, Karibu Restaurant, Waltham Taxi, India market, AAA Southern New England, Pearl of Africa store, Sam Kiwanuka of Jomayi, Tele BM and many others.
Among the guest who attended included Prof.Muyanda of Ttabamiruka Boston 2012 ,UNAA Treasurer Mr. Moses Bukenya, Publicity Secretary of Ttabamiruka Angela Ssemukutu, Indian market Manager Marik, Rev.Tusubila, Charles Wassajja and community elders including Bebe Kool’s mother.
