Columbus Day Weekend Special — The Swililili hitmaker and former Zambian Big Brother contestant Mampi whose smash hit ‘Swililili’ and ‘why’ have taken Kampala’s night clubs by storm, will be in Boston for a LIVE INDEPENDENCE Concert at the waltham French Club on Sunday 13th October starting at 8pm. The show dubbed ‘Uganda’s Independence Party’will cost $25 dollars. It will feature Uganda’s Top 40 by DJs Sharck and Paddy revelers are encouraged to wear Ugandan Memorabilia as we commemorate 51 years of Independence.

About Mampi — Mampi Mirriam Mukape was born in Lusaka, Zambia. Mampi is a Zambian R&B singer. She also does some reggae and kwaito music. She attended various schools – Muyooma Basic, Libala High school, and the SpringField Coaching Centre. Her debut album was called Malozi, which shot her into the limelight in Zambia. It was released in 2005 on the Sounds Investments/Sling Beat Entertainment label. Her second album, Chimo ni chimo (Sin is sin) followed with more of the same style and did even better. She is famous among Ugandans for such hits like ‘Why’, ‘Swililili’ and ‘Walilowelela’.
