Rachel Magoola, Touch N’ Soul Band – In a Women’s Day Boston Live Concert

It what was a dubbed a Women’s Day Special treat – The Boston based Touch N’ Soul Band featuring Uganda’s music legend and Afrigo Band song-tress Rachel Magoola staged a musical concert at Club Rendezvous in Waltham, Ma that had revelers on their feet as Rachel relived memories of her musical career taking the audience through her musical journey that has spanned several years.

First on stage was Julius Juuko and his Band that boasts of some notables names like Spageon Wamala lead vocals , Dutch Zziwa on drums, a solo guitar Justin Matu, Maddar Ranks on Percussion, Gallen Willet on Bass  and a host of other professional instrumentalists. After putting in time and expanding their outfit Touch N’ Band has now taken LIVE music entertainment to new high in the Diaspora. Performing Uganda’s Timeless classics from legends like Elly Wamala, Afrigo Band, Eclas Kawalya to modern local hits the band did not disappoint.

After about an hour on stage it was then time for the featured artist of the evening — Rachel Magoola whose ‘Obangaina’ classic had all revelers on the dance floor in a matter of seconds upon her ascension to the stage. A former lead singer/Dancer with Afrigo Band Rachel launched a Solo career that saw her go on tour across the globe.

Among the prominent revelers at the Boston Women’s Day special was Uganda’s State Minister for Youth and Children’s Affairs Hon. Ronald Kibuule.
