Miss Uganda Beauty Pageant | Zahara Nakiyaga Crowned Miss Uganda 2015

On Friday July 10th the Miss Uganda franchise held their annual Miss Uganda Beauty Pageant. This year’s winner was contestant number eight — Miss Zahara Nakiyaga (23) who had earlier on emerged as a crowd favorite given her poise, elegance and catwalk was crowned overall winner of the coveted crown. Miss Zahara hails from Mitiyana district and will represent Uganda at this year’s Miss World event in China on 19th December.


This year’s first runner-up of the Miss Uganda 2015 pageant  was Juliana Nabwohe followed by Engrid Ritah Wanyana who was second runner-up Miss Uganda 2015. Overall there were 21 finalists picked from all the regions of Uganda. The event was also punctuated by musical performances by Grace Nakimera, A-Pass others and while Alex Muhangi did some stand up comedy.


Other winners included contestant number 3 Miss Aisha Nabukeera who was crowned the Miss Rising Woman of Uganda. Also in attendance were previous Miss Uganda winners  Leah Kalanguka, Stella Nantumbwe, Phiona Bizzu and Sylvia Namutebi.


This year’s winner walked away with a brand new Toyota Raum car. The Miss Uganda Franchise is managed by CEO – Brenda Nanyonjo whose hard work and dedication needs recognition for helping to restore the glory of the Miss Uganda Beauty pageant.


The event held at Kampala Serena Hotel was off to a late start but seasoned Radio Broadcaster Roger Mugisha and Peace Menya did their beat as the overall event MCees of night.
