News Flash | Diaspora Business Breakfast and Why you Must Attend – Tuesday Dec 29th From 9am – 12:30pm
The Ugandan Diaspora Network will host its 5th annual Ugandan Diaspora Gala on Wednesday 30th December 2015. The main event will be preceded by the a Uganda Diaspora Business Breakfast on 29th December 2015.
The event on Tuesday 29th December will be held at Kampala Serena Conference Center’s Katonga hall and will start at 9am till 12:30pm. Topics will range from Mobile Money transfers, Real Estate Development, Dual Citizenship, Diaspora Banking, Diaspora Bonds, Diaspora Insurance and Diaspora Tourism.
Special presentations will include a Venture Capital firm based in Johannesburg, South Africa. Ms. Josephine Senkungo a senior US health-care specialist from the State of New Mexico and the Commissioner General – Uganda Revenue Authority who will articulate the URA – Diaspora Tax Policy among others.
The Business Breakfast will be moderated by the Patron Ugandan Diaspora Network – Dr. Maggie Kigozi. Last year the event enjoyed tremendous support from businesses and companies that target Diaspora Investment.
This year we shall also witness new partners like MTN Mobile Money Global Transfers, Uganda Investment Authority, Roofings Uganda, The Uganda American Chamber of Commerce, Synergy Partners Uganda, Uganda Revenue Authority, Bank of Uganda, Diamond Trust Bank, Post Bank, The Parliament of Uganda – Diaspora Desk, Western Union, Nile Breweries, Pepsi Uganda, Jomayi Property Consultants, The Clinic at the Mall and UAP.
